Riding for Indigenous Aid & Justice

As I prepare for a ~500 mile bike tour this May across New York State, I have been reflecting on the original stewards of the land – indigenous communities (from the Haudenosaunee to the Canarsee) whose ancestral homes were stolen from them. The pandemic has disproportionately impacted  indigenous people in such a terrible way. I ask that you show your solidarity and support for my bike tour by donating here so that we can raise funds for two deeply important indigenous led organizations:


First Nations COVID 19 Emergency Response Fund : which is providing critical financial support to regional tribal organizations for frontline or other essential services, along with long-term strategies to weather the pandemic.

Landback: because we can not merely treat the symptoms of colonial land theft and oppression, but must also address the root issues simultaneously.


Financial transparency note: as GoFundMe does not allow splitting between two charities, I will be handling the dispursement of funds myself. As such, I will be operating open book accounting, providing all donors with clear documentation of 100% of the funds raised here having reached the First Nations COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund, and Landback movement.
