This is Dan Hughes, from Riverton, WY. Dan will be participating in a Bike race from Portland, Oregon to Washington DC leaving Portland on June 18th, 2023, with Bike Nonstop US. This is a 3500-mile mixed terrain race across the United States. Previously Dan worked as a CNA and retired in June 2022 to begin preparing for this race. He met a wonderful gentleman and was honored to work with him as a care provider. Tom was born and raised in Fremont County WY and has Huntington’s disease. Due to the disease process he has been living in a Nursing Home for the last 4 years and is in great need of a wheelchair designed specifically for Huntington's Disease. Dan is dedicating this ride to him and would like to be able to earn enough donations to purchase Tom a compatible wheelchair for his needs.
