Ridgway love Wanda!

Hello friends of Wanda, near and far.

Some of you know Wanda from her 20+ years spent working for the Town of Ridgway, others may know her by her big hugs, or her love of dancing front row at the Concert Series. Wanda has been a longtime member of our community and now she needs our help! We’re reaching out to garner some financial support for our wonderful friend as she faces a medical crisis.

On August 18th Wanda had her gallbladder removed at St. Mary’s in Grand Junction. The surgery turned out to be much more complicated and serious than anticipated. She is currently in ICU working on healing and recovering her strength. The family asked for privacy while Wanda recovers in the ICU. We will provide updates here to let you know when that changes and she can see people. Seeing her friends will certainly help her recovery when she gets to that stage.

Her daughters, Porsha and Brooke have traveled from Washington state to be with her. It will be a long journey to get her back on her feet. While Wanda does have health insurance, there will be expenses not covered and financial hardship. If you’d like to show your support and help Wanda, then we are looking to raise funds to make her current situation and future rehabilitation less of a financial strain on her and her family.
