This fundraiser supports the federal class action filed by nationally recognized civil rights and animal rights attorney Susan Chana Lask against Ridglan Farms and Dane County.

Susan Chana Lask is visiting recently saved Ridglan beagles at rescues in multiple states, not only to give them love, but to document their condition and account for their injuries as part of the legal fight.

The lawsuit seeks accountability for the Ridglan beagles used in cruel experiments and for the peaceful rescuers who came to help them. The complaint alleges that Ridglan Farms and Dane County responded to rescuers with chemical agents, impact munitions, and dangerous manure-filled trenches, causing serious injuries while Ridglan continues to breed beagles and subject them to painful and cruel lab experiments.

Ms. Lask's 36 years of litigating high-profile civil rights and animal rights cases includes her shutting down hundreds of Puppy Mills nationwide and having the first Puppy Mill ban in a New York municipality, leading to a statewide ban.

Her motto is simple:

That is why she took this case.

This federal lawsuit has already made an impact. Just days after Ms. Lask filed the case it, an agreement to release 1,500 beagles from Ridglan was reached after negotiations for months.

But more than 500 beagles are still there.

The legal fight is not over.

Every contribution helps keep this case moving in and out of court. Funds will support filing costs, investigation, expert costs, records, research, legal fees and related expenses.

Ms. Lask is also talking with Senators and members of Congress to seek action for the Ridglan beagles still there, to stop all animal lab testing, and to expose what happened to the rescuers who stood up for them.
