Ridge Romali Memorial Scholarship Fund

Imposto dedutível
The Ridge Romali Memorial Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance for special needs students to attend Los Angeles Harbor College. Ridge Romali was adopted from an orphanage in Urumqi, China in 2018 and spent four years in a loving home in the United States with a mother and older brother, also adopted from China. Tragically, Ridge took his own life in 2022. For four years, his loving family adored and cared for him, celebrating his beautiful spirit and joyful kindness. Ridge was an angel among us. He suffered from multiple special needs, and this memorial scholarship fund will provide tuition, books, fees, and other educational costs for students with special needs to attend college. Everyone in this world brings their own special abilities to us, and Ridge’s mother would like the world to see special needs children as “diff-abled” not “disabled.” Ridge was differently abled, and his incredible abilities included: basketball, laughing, singing, playing music, skateboarding, playing computer games and watching anime. He was a straight “A” student who loved his teachers at Los Alamitos High School and McAuliffe Middle School and would be overjoyed to know that his legacy allows other people the opportunity to change their lives through education. Please consider a tax-deductible donation today to help Los Angeles Harbor College students achieve prosperity through a college degree. Thank you for remembering our Ridge and for paying it forward.

Ridge Romali was looking forward to becoming a Los Angeles Harbor College student and was the son of the College’s Vice President of Administrative Services, Dr. Reagan Romali.

The Los Angeles Harbor College Foundation was established in 1972 to support the work of Los Angeles Harbor College by raising private donations from individuals, corporations, organizations, alumni, and foundations. Funds raised by the Foundation provides students of LAHC with scholarships, book grants, food vouchers, student conferences, emergency grants, and provides the college with funding to support and enhance programs and facilities.

Since its founding in 1949, Los Angeles Harbor College has been a catalyst for academic and economic success and an important resource to the Harbor and South-Bay area. From an initial enrollment of 400, Harbor College now serves over 8,000 students per semester primarily serving the cities of Carson, Gardena, Harbor City, Lomita, Rancho Palos Verdes, San Pedro, and Wilmington while providing a comprehensive curriculum that meets the educational needs of today’s student.
