Ride with K-9 "Tuffy-zero!"

Hello, I'm Wiley, a Navy Combat Veteran and I'm currently training alongside K-9 Tuffy at a K9 academy that is designed to help armed forces veterans bond with working K-9 and complete the training as a working duo. Training has been so good for both of us. It was a task to solidify enrollment as my MGIB investment, 15 year window ended, due to it being an out dated investment form that keeps the investments of combat veterans after 15 years. The current gi bill is called the "Forever" Gibill. Recent veterans and thier families have access to it indefinitely.. You get the picture, it's frustrating. 

The president of the academy and the governor's office(one of many offices I called to aid in my enrollment due to the benefits ending) had the grace to work out a full scholarship!! A huge blessing from persistence to get me in there training!

I'm here now, in Southern Virginia ,working with "Tuffy-zero!" His abilities are super, and we're excited about the future post graduation!

The area in that I've found I need your help on this awesome journey is the funds for an appropriate kennel(determined upon February graduation), fuel to transport Tuffy daily to training across Hampton Roads, dorm maintenance fees, and various other K-9 equipment needed upon graduation..

While the tuition is covered and I leave with the dog that I selected ready to work, I am not receiving any of the education benefits that I was expecting from my gibill; not even the portion of the time that's active, due to the full scholarship. Doing this full time training without the benefits has become very difficult. In order to leave, Tuffy needs to have his own kennel and I turn in the one loaned from the school. I've been having to borrow money for fuel to transport Tuffy to and from our training, and there are other equipment pieces and necessities that we must have. We need your help, so we can keep training effectively and leave together to protect the world! He is an explosive detection dog and we can't wait to work at stadiums and schools among many locations where we can do our part to keep people safe. Can you help me and Tuffy cross that finish line together as a multi-certified working team??
