A few years ago, I found myself uninsurable after three fender benders in a single week. That experience opened my eyes to how difficult and expensive it can be for D.C. drivers to get the coverage they need. According to MoneyGeek, D.C. drivers pay significantly more for car insurance than the national average, and many people are left with high premiums or limited options after even minor accidents.

That’s why I’m launching ridewithkenno.com—a new car insurance company dedicated to making coverage more affordable and accessible for everyone in D.C. Our mission is to offer full coverage with no deductible at rates lower than what drivers are currently paying. I believe that no one should be priced out of the protection they need, and I want to help every D.C. driver keep more money in their pocket while staying fully covered.

The funds raised will go directly toward meeting D.C.’s deposit requirement to sell coverage, as well as app development, legal and regulatory fees, and initial claims processing. I’m building this company on my own for now, but once we’re funded, I’ll be assembling a team over the first six months to ensure we deliver the best possible service.
