Ride to DC
Donation protected
This August, hundreds of cyclists will come together and bike from New York City to Washington, D.C. to participate in the Commitment March led by Al Sharpton and Martin Luther King III. This second March on Washington will take place on Aug. 28th, the same date that Martin Luther King, Jr. gave his famous “I Have a Dream” speech.
Ride to D.C. was founded by a black African woman to recognize the significance of Black Lives in America, specifically in the world of cycling. Our aim is to raise awareness regarding the racial disparities within the bike community, fight for accessibility so that every person has access to a bike, safe roads, and bike infrastructure, and finally, to help create a culture where we redefine who a cyclist is and what they look like.
All donations go to offsetting the overall individual cost of the ride to DC. Funds will assist with housing, meals, medical kits, and anything else needed to ensure the ride is accessible for all and successful.
This is a not-for-profit ride.
Thank you,
The Ride to DC Team
