In spring 2027 I'm setting out from Belfast, Northern Ireland, to ride my bicycle east across Europe, Asia, and Australia, then from Anchorage across Canada and the US to Boston. It's the third and final leg of my goal to ride the world, and your support will help get me there.
If you heard me on the Dave Glover Show, KMOX 104.1 FM today — welcome, and thank you for listening.
My name is André Breton. In 2023 I set myself a goal: ride the world by bicycle in three tours. Two lines running north to south, and one line running west to east.
Tour 1 — Climate Zero (2023–2024)
17,500 miles from Cartwright, Labrador, to Ushuaia, Argentina, at the bottom of South America. Along the way I planted 5,000 trees to offset my lifetime carbon footprint.
Tour 2 — Begin Again (2025–2026)
14,500 miles from North Cape, Norway, to Cape Town, South Africa. This tour looked inward. Through my films, I shared Buddhist ideas like mindfulness, awareness, and presence — about 135 cinematic videos and many more video journal-style films documenting the whole journey.
Tour 3 — Belfast to Boston (departing spring 2027)
Planning is still underway for this west-to-east line that completes my goal to ride the world by bicycle. Belfast, east across Europe and Asia, through Australia, then Anchorage to Boston across the US and Canada.
What your support does
$10,000 — Planning, gear, and flights. Getting the bike and equipment ready, and the flights between continents.
$20,000 — The journey itself. This ride could take up to two years on the road.
Every tour is filmed and shared on my YouTube channel as a cinematic series, and after the journey I write the travelogues on andrebretoncycling.com. When you give, you're riding along with me — every mile will be out there for you to watch.
