Ride the Nile- Stu, Adrian, Tom & Sam
Thank you for taking the time to look at Stu, Adrian, Tom and Sams Ride the Nile fundraising page. We are part of a team that is raising much needed funds for Joy for Children and Communities and every donation will help. The challenge we are undertaking is cumulatively riding the Nile in the space of 1 month. The total distance covered by our team will be around 6600km (4100 Miles).
A little background information on Joy for Children and Communities: Joy for Children and Communities is a UK registered charity that works in Uganda. We focus on development projects that empower people in the poorest areas of Kampala. As a community-led charity we run weekly projects in four of the slums. These provide the community with the necessary skills and knowledge to live a better quality of life by using a bottom-up approach.
Your support will help us continue to develop our new cycling project. This includes the forming of a brand new bike race team in Uganda. the vision is to give young and men a women to showcase talent and possibly make a living through cycling in Uganda. The second element of this fundraising drive, is to continue to support the mechanics courser that we are in the process of establishing, will train both men and women in a tangible skill which we believe they can make a living from in the future.
Thanks,
Stu, Adrian and Sam
