Ride of the Mustang - 2025

It is that time of the year again! George MacDougall High School is hosting its annual Ride of the Mustang. We are extremely grateful for all of the support that we, as well as our team, have received over the past two years of taking part in this charity event. Since the Ride’s creation in 2011, our school has raised over $1,000,000 for the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, which goes towards helping children fighting cancer. The Ride of the Mustang is one of the top fundraising charity events in Alberta, which was organized by our own youth. Go Mustangs!

Over the past two years, our group has managed to meet our fundraising goals and even go beyond them! Reaching these goals and having the ability to donate this money to such an important cause is an extreme honour. Our commitment remains just as strong as the first Ride we took part in, and our group has even grown in size! In 2023, we had 9 eager group members raising money and participating in the bikeathon. This year, we have 2 new members who are very excited to contribute and be a part of our team!

This year, we strive to raise a minimum of $2,000 total, which will be split among 10 members. That means the Lambies aim to raise as much as possible! We have hit our goals for the past two years and believe that with your support, we are capable of making it once again!

This year, as “Cycling Through Time,” we are back with even more determination to help the Ride’s cause. Even though our school has made incredible progress in raising money and making the Ride an important event, this doesn't change the fact that children continue to suffer from cancer. We believe that these children deserve as much help as we can give, and we are confident that we can help provide them with the support they need.

Your support means everything to us, and each donation, big or small, brings us a step closer to making a real difference in the lives of these children. We would also like to thank you for all of the support we have received in the past. Know that you are making a difference, and each cent is going towards helping a child in need.
