Ride for Education – Cycling Across Kenya to Build Schools

Donation protected
This June, I’m taking on a personal and physical challenge that’s very close to my heart — cycling 240km across Kenya in just two days to raise funds for the construction of schools in rural Narok County.

I’ll be joining other cyclists on the Ride for Education, a charity initiative that aims to raise Ksh 4.5–5.5 million (about £25,000–£30,000) to build schools in Ositeti, Nkoisiash, and Enasoret — underserved communities where children currently walk 8 to 12km each way every single day just to get to school.

These children often leave home before sunrise and return after sunset, all for the opportunity to learn. The terrain is rough, and the journey is long.

The ride will take place over two days (13–14 June 2025), starting from Nairobi, climbing through the Great Rift Valley via Suswa, and ending at Mara River Lodge — through traditional villages, rugged conservancies, and open savannah. It won’t be easy, but it will be worth it.

I'm not just riding for the adventure — I'm riding to help build real classrooms that offer these children a chance at a better future. Classrooms where they can sit safely, learn comfortably, and dream big.

100% of donations (less logistical costs) go directly into school construction.

Please consider donating. Every pound helps — whether it’s £5, £20, or £100 — it will make a real, lasting difference in the lives of children who deserve access to education.

Let’s ride for something bigger. Let’s ride for education.

Thank you for your support,
Mustafa
