Ride for Cirencester Opportunity Group and STEP Swindon
The Challenge
Six members of Cirencester & District Round Table intend to ride 200 miles over two days to raise money for two local and very worthy youth focused charities.
For some reason we have decided to make this harder than it could be, undertaking the ride in late October, when daylight hours will be limited and it is likely to be cold, wet and windy...
Our intention is to ride from STEP in Swindon, via Cirencester Opportunity Group (COG) to the headquarters of our organisation at Marchesi House in Birmingham. Along the way we aim to tackle a number of the Cotswold's well known hills - just to make things a little tougher.
Please help us raise funds for these two fantastic and deserving charities. As a young man's organisation many of us have children and therefore are particularly aware of the importance of the great work both STEP and COG do in our communities.
(all funds raised will be split equally between the charities)
COG
Cirencester Opportunity Group is an independent charity providing integrated education for preschool children and support for their families. They were founded in 1973 and have been providing enriching and stimulating learning experiences to generations of children for more than 40 years.
STEP
STEP Swindon is a registered charity, providing a safe and supportive environment for children and young people aged 7 – 18, who are experiencing isolation and exclusion due to either their lack of social skills, personal circumstances or poverty, living in Swindon or the wider community.
