Ride around the Lake for Working Bikes
Donation protected
Hello family, friends and colleagues,
A friend and I will ride our bikes around Lake Michigan in late May 2023. Why do you ask? Well, it's been a goal of mine for many years, and I'm finally ready. More importantly, we are riding to raise money for a great organization, Working Bikes (in Chicago). You can check out their mission and accomplishments throughout the years at the following link here. We have planned a 1000-mile ride starting at Buckingham Fountain in Chicago, pedaling north to Wisconsin. Always close to the lake, the route will take us to Upper Peninsula Michigan. A ferry will take us to Mackinac Island and ultimately across to Mackinaw City MI. Along the way, we will stay in friendly campsites with some motels sprinkled in (for a shower and a proper meal). The route can be found here. We will be frugal. After covering some basic expenses (gear and overnight accommodations), we will donate the remainder to Working Bikes. We will send out alerts and document our journey. All of you that contribute will be able to track our progress. Links and detailed information to follow. We thank you for believing in our goal and helping with the empowerment of people throughout the globe.
