Ciao, ci chiamiamo Marta e Bianca e stiamo svolgendo un progetto di volontariato/servizio civile in Zimbabwe, presso il centro educativo Tsungirirai di Norton.
Ogni giorno accogliamo bambini vulnerabili e orfani dai 3 ai 6 anni, offrendo loro attività educative, supporto scolastico e un luogo sicuro dove crescere. Purtroppo, con l’arrivo della stagione delle piogge, il tetto della scuola materna ha iniziato a cedere e ora l’acqua entra direttamente nell’aula dove i bambini studiano e giocano.
Le foto mostrano chiaramente la situazione: parti del soffitto sono crollate e la struttura è esposta alla pioggia. Se non interveniamo subito, la stanza rischia di diventare inutilizzabile e le attività educative dovranno fermarsi proprio nel periodo più difficile dell’anno.
Cosa vogliamo fare?
Ricostruire completamente il tetto e rimettere in sicurezza il soffitto interno, in modo da garantire ai bambini uno spazio asciutto, dignitoso e protetto.
Come useremo le donazioni:
• acquisto dei materiali (lamiera, legname, pannelli interni)
• manodopera locale
• sistemazione del soffitto interno
• piccole riparazioni aggiuntive rese necessarie dalla pioggia
Ogni contributo — anche piccolo — può fare davvero la differenza.
In Zimbabwe il costo dei materiali è molto più basso rispetto all’Europa: anche una donazione di 10€ o 20€ può permettere di comprare qualcosa di essenziale.

Condivideremo foto, video e aggiornamenti costanti man mano che i lavori procedono. Pubblicheremo anche ricevute dei materiali, quando possibile.

Hi, it’s Bianca and Marta and we are currently volunteering in Zimbabwe at the Tsungirirai Educational Centre in Norton.
Every day we welcome vulnerable and orphaned children aged 3 to 6, offering early education, school support, and a safe place to grow. Unfortunately, with the start of the rainy season, the roof of the nursery school has begun to collapse, and now rainwater is coming directly into the classroom where the children study and play.
The photos show the situation clearly: parts of the ceiling have fallen, and the structure is exposed to the rain. If we don’t intervene immediately, the room will become unusable and learning activities will have to stop during the most difficult time of the year.
What we want to do
Rebuild the entire roof and repair the ceiling inside, so the children can learn in a safe, dry and dignified environment.
How the funds will be used:
• purchase of roofing materials (metal sheets, wood, panels)
• local labour
• repairing and repainting the interior ceiling
• small additional repairs caused by water damage
Any contribution — even a small one — makes a big difference.
In Zimbabwe, the cost of materials is much lower than in Europe: even €10 or €20 can help buy something essential.

I will share photos, videos and regular updates as the work progresses. I will also upload receipts for materials whenever possible.
