Rico Kingston turned one a few days ago. He is a bubbly baby with a dimpled smile that will melt your heart! He is my sister, Alexie and Bill's fourth child, joining their two sons, Kanoah and Ziggy and their late sister, Melana.

A month ago, Rico was diagnosed with a rare condition called, Squamosal Craniosynostosis. Incredibly rare, found in one out of 40,000 people, Rico is missing bones in his head that can impact how his brain will grow in the future. He will undergo cranial surgery on January 18 and be in hospital for 4-5 days for close care and attention.

In this new year, while Bill transitions in to a new job and Lexie is ramping up her salon, their insurance will only cover so much. We would be ever grateful to our family, friends and community for any help you could pass along to Rico's successful surgery and recovery.
