Hi, my name is Ginger and I’m Richard’s cousin. Richard has managed life very well on his own with Soc Sec. He lives simply.
▪️Ricky has been disabled since childhood when polio effected his right side. He’s never let it slow him down much.
▪️He took care of his sister until her death (at age 63) and has her medical expenses and some of his own on his credit cards. About $7,000 balance left.
▪️Now, Ricky is facing a few major health issues of his own. He worries about mounting medical expenses. And, has postponed treatment because of this worry.
▪️He’s also had damages to his home. His back door is damaged and he’s rigged a make-shift cover over the holes to prevent possums from coming in. (He’s trapped 10!) And, the hall flooring is rotted from a washing machine flood. He’s laid some plywood over it. I’d like to see if we can get that repaired for him before it gives out and falls through.
▪️Ricky’s a proud, independent man and it’s not easy for him to accept help. But, he needs the help, he’s willing to let us help and he’s thankful for our help.
▪️Let’s give this a shot to get him over this hump and see how it goes. If you’d rather donate directly. Let me know and we’ll figure something out thru Venmo or another avenue.
Thank you.
