Ricky Shope brain tumor recovery fundraiser

Edit #2; Ricky has been in good spirits today, kaysha told me that he was able to sit up most of the day and was doing his physical therapy. Ricky has some weakness in his right sided motor function which was anticipated. Tonight after visiting he seems he still has some mild difficulty finding his words, but still definitely has a Ricky sense of humor. Thank you for your continuous generosity and outpouring of love that everyone has shown Ricky and his family.

Edit; Ricky is out of surgery and only time will tell if he will regain his motor function. Unfortunately, it was found that Ricky's preliminary read of his tumor is a very aggressive type of cancer called Glioblastoma. We will meet with oncology in the weeks to come.

My name is Alisha, I am setting up this fundraiser for my nephew and his sweet little family. Ricky for the last few weeks has been experiencing some neurological issues, he made an appointment with his regular doctor the following week but ended up needing to be seen in the emergency room. During the visit in the ER it was found that Ricky has a large brain tumor larger than a golfball on the left side of his brain. Ricky is having emergency surgery today to remove the tumor. There is still a lot of unknown as we don't know if the tumor is cancerous or not. Ricky has a 50% chance that he could lose some or all motor function on one side of his body.

Ricky is the sole provider of his household with his fiance, Kaysha and two young daughters ages 2 and 4. It's unknown when and if Ricky will be able to work again. I am asking for donations to help with medical bills and costs of living that will accrue while Ricky is recovering. I know in this economy, times are tough for everyone, but every dollar can help. From the bottom of my family's hearts we thank you in advance for any prayers or donations you could give.
