15 year old Lake City Trojan family member, Ricky Atherton-Dudek, son of Mike and Sherry Dudek, (owners of D's Shoreline Services in Lake City, Mi)was involved in a very bad car accident on November 5th. He was flown to Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in Gr, where every day he is fighting for his life. All donations will go to the family for expenses during this difficult time. Ricky is going in for some more surgeries tom. The docs are going to remove his breathing tube, and put in a trek and feeding tube. He needs more time to rest and heal, but doc hope to ween him off some meds also, with therapy scheduled in time...

We are blessed to hear Ricky is slowly improving. His team of docs at Helen Devos are slowly taking him off medications. He is still under sedation, allowing his brain and body to heal. Ricky has a long way to go still, but his breathing is improving, and docs hope in time Ricky will wake up. ❤

Wonderful update
Ricky has been breathing on his own with his trek. No help from ventilation & Meds are being lessened to help wake him up. Ricky is waiting to be transported to Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in GR this week. We are still unaware of how much brain damage there is or how Rehabilitation will go for Ricky, but we are constantly praying for God to help Ricky heal. Every day is a blessing. Thank you all for your prayers, love, support, donations, and hard work. The family appreciates all your support. Its been almost a month since Rickys accident, and we are so blessed on the progress Ricky has made so far. Ricky still has a long way to go, and so does the family, but we are all here for the Dudek family.
