The Heavy Loss of Enrique "Rick" Acuna - Father, Friend, Husband, Cousin, Master of Flatulence...

Rick Acuna sadly and unexpectedly passed away quietly in his sleep around 5:30am on Thursday, February 23rd. It was and still is a shock. Our family is bereft, confused, angry, sad, and unfortunately still waiting for answers. Cause is unknown, which means we won't have real answers for several months. In the meantime, and far too soon, we have had to make arrangements to say goodbye and celebrate his life.

Friday, March 3rd - Funeral

9:00am - 9:30am: Private Viewing - Santa Ana, CA

We are trying to keep this brief and intimate for those that want/need to have that more intimate closure. Please reach out to our family beforehand if you would like to be included as space is limited.

11:00am - 11:30am: Burial Service - Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Orange, CA

This will also be a short family and friends lead service to intern him in a wall mausoleum in the Mount of Olives section on the backside of the cemetery with a view of the valley and hills. All are welcome to join us for this last goodbye with a chance to share a few words, warm hugs, and happy/sad tears. If you plan to join us, please dress comfortably and bring stickers and magnets to help us decorate his casket and send it off in style.

Saturday, March 4th - Celebration of Life

12:00pm - 4:00pm: Potluck Rager of Remembrance - The Acuna Home, La Habra, CA

Rick loved our home's backyard and always said how equally proud and jealous his dad, Gilbert, would have been. With that in mind, we will be celebrating his life here at home in our backyard potluck-style. BYOB with your favorite dish. Please note that we will be opening the floor to speeches at 1:00pm, otherwise it's open-door and we hope to see you (dressed warm and comfy).
