Rick’s Rally Against Cancer! Two months ago our world was turned upside down. My brother-in-law Rick Cieslowski, was diagnosed with a Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor (GIST for short). It is a rare and isolated form of cancer. After undergoing a successful surgery in January to remove a 2cm diameter size tumor and a small portion of his stomach, he is on his way to recovery. Follow up treatment will include daily chemo medication for at least 3 years, along with routine blood monitoring, CAT scans and endoscopies, as he is now prone to a recurrence of a tumor in his GI System. You can never prepare yourself for this type of news; mentally, emotionally, or financially. You think you are doing all the right things in life: exercise, eating healthy, working hard, family support and insurance. But in today’s world – that is not enough. We need your help, as medical expenses have been unexpected and will continue to grow. Please support RICK’s RALLY AGAINT CANCER. With your help the Cieslowski Family can concentrate their efforts on fighting this disease and getting their life back to what is now their new “normal”. Many of you have asked what you can do to help show your love and support for Rick, who has always been one of the first people to help others. Please consider helping financially along with your well wishes and prayers. It's important to remember that everyone needs help sometimes. You never know who wants to help until you ask. Thank you so much!!
