On October 19th, my father Richard Churchwell was having difficulty breathing and so I rushed him to the urgent clinic by our house. They took in his symptoms and immediantly had me drive him to the ER of our local hospital. He was experiencing a heart attack.

Throughout his battle he required a breathing tube and a double heart bypass. Within that week he experienced two heart attacks and a stroke. After the second attack he needed to be resuscitated.

We never expected this to happen and for the time that my father remained in the ICU my mother was constantly by his side. This trauma impacted more than just his health. He is an accomplished engineer whose career supported the family that loves him deeply.

We face a tremendous amount of bills and he needs medication now to stay healthy. He also needs physical therapy because the stroke greatly impacted his most vital tools; his mind and motor skills.

Please, I love my father and owe him more than just my life. He raised my siblings and I to a loving and nurthering childhood. We need any and all support to help him. He is an amazing father and spectacular grandfather to three kids all under 5 years old. They deserve to spend as much time with him as a healthy grandfather. My sister should have our father at her wedding.

I know that the amount might seem high but we have so many bills from the hospital, his medications, and therapy. He is unable to work because despite his progress he still needs more time to heal.

Anything that anyone can give would go towards helping Ricky Churchwell get better. Please, I beg that some compassionate hearts find this. We need this fund and I need my father. I love him with all my heart, and am so thankful to have him still beside me. Help me keep him here longer and heal past this
