My name is Donna and I am Rick's wife. I am setting up this Go Fund Me account to help raise money to help with Rick's medical bills.
Today January 26, 2021 is 1 week in the hospital for Rick. Rick experienced some unexplained pain in his upper right chest area. After 3 hours of hearing him pacing the floor, breathing hard, vomiting 4 times and saying, "Oh God, Oh God," he told me he could not take it anymore so we left for the hospital at 5:30 in the morning.
Come to find out his Gall Bladder was infected and inflamed and it was removed. 2 days later his liver functions were elevated and they had to another surgery to remove another stone. They thought they had them all except one was found in the bile duct.
After that surgery he was released and came home. 1 hour after being home he developed severe pain and difficulty in breathing. Back to the hospital. The saddest thing is that no one is allowed in the hospital so I had to leave him alone in pain in a wheelchair. I cried as I walked away but there was nothing I could do.
He was readmitted with pneumonia and later we found out that he was retaining fluid. He had his first draining today 6/26 and another draining 6/27.
I sure do hope that the antibiotics and the draining of the fluids will help with his labored breathing and the pneumonia.
They checked him 2 times for Covid and it was negative. Just praying that he remains that way.
So far he has had 4 Ct Scans, 1 MRI, 2 ultrasounds, 3 X-rays and a lot of pain medication and antibiotics.
Your generosity will help us with his medical bills because he does not know how long he will have to be out of work. They mentioned 6 to 8 weeks but we are hoping that he will not have to be out of work this long. We are scared!!!
