So, this is my first time doing one of these. Today we got hit with 7 inches of rain, and the creek by our home overflowed exponentially flooding our basement and I'm sure many others. Our neighbor Rick is a man with a heart of gold, since we've moved in, him and is family have been nothing short of amazing. When ever we need a tool or a helping hand we can always count on him, when we go out town his granddaughter cares for our cats and he always tries to do something like mowing our lawn, just to take something off our plate when we return. Him and his wife are retired and care for his elderly mother, his daughter and granddaughter. Kayleigh and I only got about an inch of water in our basement, Rick got several inches causing damage to his daughter bedroom, garage and most of all his driveway which was swept away.
