Ricklefs Road to Recovery

My name is Aymie Ricklefs. I am a thirty year old mother to two awesome bio kids and two amazing bonus babes. I have been married to my husband Jay for just over two years now.  For the last several years I have battled stomach issues. I have had multiple surgeries and have had a few different things removed from me in hopes that it would fix my issues. Things would get better and then they would come back worse than before. This last time the stomach issues came back was the worst. There was multiple occasions that I passed out from not being able to keep any food or water down. Jay ended up having to take me into the ER in the middle of the night due to extreme pain. They ran tests and came back saying I had an ovarian cyst burst. I was referred to an Ob specialist to make sure everything was ok. After the first minute of meet Dr. Peterson I was so happy he was my doctor. He wanted to know why I was hurting as much as I did. After a brief exam he gave an educated guess that I was dealing with Endemetriosis. It runs in my family and we were kind of expecting to hear that. Within 5 days my doctor had me in for a surgery to take out whatever endemetriosis he could find. Jay drove me to the hospital with both of us thinking the worst thing would be to have to have a hysterectomy if the endemetriosis was too bad. I was taken in for surgery confident and came out to earth shattering news. I do not have endemetriosis. When my doctor went in he found stage 4 ovarian cancer. I am still in shock, utterly terrified and some what numb. I do not have all of the answers yet as to the next steps however I do know I will have to go through a full round of Chemo and then they will do a full hysterectomy. After that we have been told we will most likely go through another round of chemo. I am reaching out to everyone now for help.  I know I will be out of work for some time for this and the medical bills are already piling up. I am asking for help to be able to stay afloat while I cannot work. My husband works his butt off every day but without my income we cant afford the medical bills on top of everything else. The money will be used to help secure our roof over our heads and also help with the start of all of the upcoming expenses.
