Rickeys steps toward independance

My father got an infection in his left foot in the beginning of January that led him to having an above the knee amputation of his left leg. After a quick stay at Mary Free Bed, my father returned hom where he has continued to figure out his new normal.

I've offered a gofundme before and got great results! However, after multiple requests to offer this again here it is!

My father is still off work and will continue to be until atleast July. Many changes have taken place as my father is home now and has been working with Hanger (the place where dad will gain his prosthesis) toward walking again and gaining a prosthesis.

As getting approved through insurance for a prosthesis took longer than antisipated; my father has ran out of his short-term benefits and is now onto long-term benefits. A  waiting period must be gained in order for my father to start receiving funds from long-term.

As everyone knows, bills do not stop and daily costs still happen. My mother has continued working full-time even through my fathers many Dr. and Hanger appointments. Sometimes this just isn't enough.

It's not an easy task out of any of us to request funds from others. If you are unable to help, please continue to pray for my father and mother as they both continue to figure out their new normals. We greatly appreciate all funds and prayers. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts in advance!
