Last year, Rickey had a dental procedure.   Several months later, he had a growth in the lower right mandible.   It continued to grow and became painful. Trip to the ER led to lancing it thinking a cyst or abscess.   After that, a biopsy was done that detected plasma cytoma cells.  He ended up in the ER by the end of the week and the cancer journey began.   Stayed in the hospital for a month, faced liver, kidney, heart and lung failure.
 
Organs recovered late in July.   Then, chemo, radiation,  13 prescriptions...........

Back in the hospital now, 40 pounds lighter, losing the battle with Multiple Myeloma. 

Rickey has not been able to work for over 6 months, and his wife Sheila had to quit her job to take care of Rickey.   Because of this, they have no health insurance or life insurance.   COBRA is available, but very expensive.  Waiting to hear about Social Security.......................
