Rick was young man taken in the prime of his life, he was only 58 years young when he suffered a cardiac arrest during what was a routine operation. He was cheated of his grandkids, his family, retirement plans and dreams. I was cheated of growing old with the love of my life, my best friend and soulmate.

Rick was a well-known and respected colleague and friend at Roy Hill, in particular with his crew at the mine on panel 4. Rick spent most of his time in Tango and was passionate about operating graders. While Rick was known for his skills on ancillary equipment, he was always happy to help out his fellow team mates as a mentor and an on the job trainer.
