As many of you are now finding out my father Rick Semin has left this world to go be with Jesus. He was known and loved by many as a coach, a husband, a dad, a Project Manager, a commissioner, and a friend.
If you were blessed enough to call him any of these things you knew he was all about richness of relationships and honoring those he came into contact with. He did everything with excellence and did it because it was "as we like to call, the right way" not because it was expected. A giant hole will be left in our community as we discover how much this man did without being asked. He was a leader by nature who did so with a kind a gentle hand. It was, and still is, an honor to be his daughter and to be one to continue his legacy.
We want to remember him for the fun loving, life giving man that he was. As a favor to me and my family, please call your loved ones, tell them how much you love them, because we don't know how many days we have on this earth. This was sudden and tragic, and I am so glad I told my Dad often how much I loved him. I know he passed knowing how much we cared about him.
We have had many people ask if they can do anything, and we are setting this up as a place to send help for costs for his life celebration.
These last 48 hours people have called from all over the world offering condolences and good memories. We are extremely overwhelmed at the outpouring of love and support for our family.
May peace go with you in this time of grieving, and know my Dad is somewhere with Jesus probably floating in some water with an ice cold drink in his hand.
We love you Dad.
Thank you to all who read this and mourn with us. We love you and appreciate the support.
