To all my Facebook friends and family,

We need your help! Our longtime and good friend Rick Rhoads has been recently diagnosed with Bladder Cancer. As you can imagine this news has hit him and his family very hard, both emotionally and financially! Rick will be having surgery July 21st, to remove the tumor in his bladder and will be off work for at least 4-6 weeks. After surgery he will have a better idea of what stage Cancer he is facing and what type of treatment he will need to undergo to fight this!

As most of you know Rick and Deana are self-employed and as they have been slowly recovering from the impact of this pandemic, getting news like this has and will impact their ability to sustain their living expenses and medical costs. Although Rick and Deana work together on their remodeling business, Deana has also been working hard the past year to care for her elderly father and Rick’s cousin who is also battling Cancer; as well as taking care of their precious grandson Caleb!

On a personal note, I know this has been a difficult year for many of us, but I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about this family. Rick and Deana are truly an amazing team! Deana is the most giving and selfless person I know. Ever since I’ve known her she’s always taking care of someone. Whether it’s her family a friend or in her past job as a home health care provider; and Rick is always right there alongside her. Rick! The man the myth the legend! I say that with the upmost love and respect I have for this hard working man! I’m not surprised at how successful he is in his business, because it’s hard to find people that take such pride in their work; but Rick is one of them! I don’t think there’s anything that he can’t do! AND anyone who knows Rick, knows what a great sense of humor he has. He’s always smiling and joking around, but he has a serious side as well. He has spent the last 30+ years volunteering for Boy Scouts in many different roles and hoping to continue volunteering when his grandson is old enough to join. Teaching the young youth, has pretty much been a passion for him. Rick has also served as a fire fighter at his local fire station for 15 years. He is very dedicated to his family and business. He truly has a servant’s heart between all the volunteering, past fund raisers and helping his community. He’s the kinda guy who always lends a helping hand; which is why I’m asking for your help!

The family is trying to pull together to work through the future financial struggle they will be facing. If you are unable to donate, please share this post and send any words of encouragement to them, however, any amount you can give to help this family during this difficult time will be greatly appreciated and give Rick PEACE OF MIND!
