Help Rick rebuild after losing his home in a fire

Donation protected
On the morning of May 20, my brother Rick woke at 6:30 a.m. to the sound of fire tearing through the attic of his home. Despite the rapid response and tireless efforts of firefighters, the fire spread quickly, and within an hour the house was completely lost. In a single morning, Rick lost not only his home, but the countless belongings, memories, and personal items accumulated over a lifetime.
Anyone who knows Rick knows that music is a huge part of who he is. An exceptionally talented guitarist, he had recently started playing again with his band, which released an album eight years ago. Among the many irreplaceable items lost in the fire was his favorite guitar, an instrument that held years of memories and meaning. Rick also shares his home and his heart with his two dogs, Sam and Vinny, who thankfully escaped the fire alongside him. He is equally passionate about cooking, and in a moment that perfectly captures both his sense of humor and the shock of the situation, one of his first thoughts after the fire was about the ingredients he had purchased the night before to make an incredible roast dinner. Before the reality of losing his home fully set in, he was genuinely heartbroken that the roast would never happen.
As the family begins the difficult process of rebuilding, they have learned that the home was significantly underinsured. After the mortgage is paid, there will be little remaining financial support to help recover from the loss. There is no coverage for the contents of the home, and many unexpected expenses continue to arise, including costs associated with emergency services, utility disconnections, and the demolition and removal of the destroyed home itself, which is expected to cost more than $20,000. Donations of any size will help Rick secure basic necessities, replace essential belongings, and begin the long journey toward rebuilding his life. Every contribution, share, and message of support is deeply appreciated.
