Our friend and coworker Rick Menne passed away unexpectedly on April 13, 2023. Rick has worked at the WestRock St. Paul Mill since June of 1998, starting as an Extra Helper in the machine room and working his way up to Shift Supervisor, a position he has held for the last 6 years.

Family was very important to Rick, he would often talk about going to movies with his daughter or about his son’s baseball games. He also treated his crew like family and was very engaged with their lives inside and outside of work. If someone was having a bad day Rick would go out of his way to spend time talking to them and helping them through their challenges. He always found a way to connect with people by finding interests they had in common, whether it was the MN Twins or Vikings, video games, movies or any one of dozens of other topics he was knowledgeable about.

Rick had many close friends at the mill and he will be sorely missed by all.
