Rick is a Fighter

Hi, my name is Ryan Prescott. For many of you who do not know, Rick Elms is my oldest brother. Rick had quadruple bypass surgery in May of this year. Rick's mitral valve was completely closed, and his stints were blocked. They did not think he would make it through that surgery. After nine hours of surgery, he was still here. In the last month, Rick has been doing dialysis because his kidneys had shut down. In the last few days, we have learned his replaced valve is not intact, along with infection. Doctors also found another valve that is loose as well and leaking fluid. He was flown to Duke last night to have surgery, hopefully. As of right now, he is on a ventilator and will probably start a feeding tube, and his blood pressure is not coming up. If they can not get his blood pressure up, he will not be able to have the surgery. He has been hit with many challenges, but he still fights every day! Rick is an exceptional person, a good man at that. Any proceeds will be greatly appreciated.
