Rick received a terminal cancer diagnosis of the bile ducts/liver (cholangiocarcinoma) on April 25, 2018. He battled to stay around as long as he could and that battle ended on June 15, 2018. He was 62. 

He was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed.
