On April 25, 2023, after a difficult battle with cancer, our dear friend, Rick is on his final service call in the sky.

Richard “Rick” A Hogeland Jr. was a third-generation proprietor of Hogeland Plumbing, a Burbank CA institution since 1947.

Rick was a kind soul, a dedicated friend, a fierce believer in family and was committed to providing for those he loved.

Of all his accomplishments, and there were many, his greatest and what made him most proud were his two beautiful daughters, Megen Maria, and Emily Lake. He was a loving, caring, and compassionate husband to his wife of 34-years, Robin.

He loved the outdoors. Whether it was the tranquility of the ocean, where he loved to fish. Or the breathtaking views from the mountaintops where he loved to ski. Or the majestic sunset of the deserts where he loved to ride dirt bikes, camp, and enjoy a nice cigar beside a campfire. It didn’t matter where he was, because he always found a way to include his friends and family and created lifelong memories.

For Robin, the devastation of losing her soulmate is almost unbearable. The fact that he was the sole provider and unfortunately didn’t have life insurance has left a financial hardship that Robin simply wasn’t prepared for.

It’s my hope that we can help relieve some of the financial stress Rick’s family is facing and give them the time to grieve and figure out how to move forward without him.
