Three weeks ago, my family got called by a neighbor at 12 am. My father, Rick Dell, was rushed to the emergency room. 

Three men attacked him in his home with weapons, and forced him to go around his home and give them all of his valuables. They left him in a near death state, tied up in the bathroom with severe blood loss. Thankfully he was able to get out, and get to the neighbors for help.

The men got away with his life savings, along with many material items. The money, from what we have been told, has an almost zero percent chance on being found and returned. 

My father is recovering, and getting back on his feet. He is now facing his mortgage bill of his home and work place of over 50 years, along with medical expenses from this event. 

This has been an extremely hard time for him, and our family. It hurts me to think that there are people that could do something like this. It is not easy to ask for help, and this is a difficult story to share. I want my dad to be able to sleep at night without the stress of money. I am hoping, with the help of friends and family, we can give him some peace of mind and something to bounce back on.

Thank you to all friends and family who can, and have helped. All of the check-ins and food deliveries have meant a lot to us.  This has been a very traumatic experience, but we are thankful he is recovering so well, and that the injuries were not any worse than they were. We appreciate any and all help during this time.
