I have been fortunate to know and work side by side with Rick for the last 21 years. I admire him in so many ways. His passion for our industry and for the people he encountered on a daily basis showed in everything Rick Cannon did. He has been a mentor and a friend to so many and he has been instrumental in building an upstanding reputation for our company and for himself. Rick has been suffering stage 4 metastatic colon cancer since March of 2020. He worked for 18 months after his terminal diagnosis while going through the horrible side effects of chemotherapy. In August of 2021 while still going through chemotherapy, Rick had to cut his career short by resigning and apply for disability. This type of “retirement” was not what Rick had ever imagined and not at all what he wanted. Currently Rick is in hospice care and is doing his best to live each day to the fullest. My friend Rick would be the last to ask for help financially but I do know he needs some help with medical expenses and handling the debt this disease has caused.
