Rick Bier

On July 22nd, at 3:30 am, Rick suffered a stroke at home.  He has been in the ICU since that time.  He suffered a brain bleed, that has affected his right side, and some memory issues.  Rick's brain needs time to heal, which can take a significant amount of time.  He was also preparing to start dialysis a few days before the stroke happened, and is suffering with Stage 4 kidney failure.  He is in the final stages of getting on a transplant list.  Rick has worked for Wendy's of Colorado Springs for 40 years, and loves his job, and the many wonderful people he has worked with for those last 40 years.  Rick also attends SECC in Parker, and is  part of Guest Services, and the choir.  Rick is so loved by many, and he and Krista have been overwhelmed with the prayers, love, concern and meals from their amazing friends and family.  Although Rick does have medical insurance with his company, there are many things that may not be covered along the way.  Every little bit helps, and many have asked what they can do!  If you are able to help out a little, here is one way to support Rick and Krista.  The most important thing is to keep praying!!! Rick and Krista believe in the power of prayer, and trust that God is at work in getting Rick back to 100%!
