Please help us raise funds to keep our Mom close to our Dad while he recovers from brain surgery!
On Monday, September 18th Rick Drinkwine was hospitalized after suffering stroke-like symptoms. After doing a CT, they found the symptoms were being caused by a very large pituitary adenoma (non-cancerous brain tumor on the pituitary gland). The next day he was helicoptered down to IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis for an emergency surgery, where they removed most of the tumor.
Rick has a long road to recovery ahead of him. He will likely be in the hospital for a few weeks, before they can release him to a rehab facility.
While he’s in Indianapolis, his wife Mary is staying just a few minutes away at a hotel. However, a few weeks in a hotel in downtown Indianapolis is quite expensive. And that’s on top of food, gas, and the parking she pays for everyday. Not to mention the cost of medical bills and continued care that are sure to accrue.
Every little bit helps, and would be so greatly appreciated!!!
