Rick and Janice Jeffery Support

Hi, my name is Tracy and I am fundraising for a couple of great friends - Rick and Janice. These funds will go towards just everyday bills, transportation expenses and most important relieve some financial stress occurring while both Rick and Janice are unable to work.

Most will know Rick as a happy go lucky guy that is a hard worker for FOX, loves playing pool (Billiards), fishing, golfing etc. Rick is captain of my pool team (Kick in the Balls) and is our main coach on the team! You always know when he wants to coach because all you here is " Do you wanna talk for a minute" lol...some of us are receptive and some not so much at times lol. We have a great team and we are all like FAMILY!!

Janice is a little firecracker with a great sense of humour! If she thinks it - she will tell you and that's what I love most about her. Janice is a bus driver for First Student and responsible for transporting Bruce Power Workers to site. She loves life and most of all LOVES her family including her cats and dogs!!

Rick and his wife Janice have both been unable to work for several weeks now and will continue to be unable to work for some time to come. Rick and Janice have been hit HARD in the last 6 months. Rick is currently going through a very aggressive treatment plan for throat cancer and his wife is currently being tested for Multiple Sclerosis - both have been discovered in the last 6 months. Rick and Janice's medical journey started with Ricks wife and since has been going through many medical tests and procedures. They have narrowed to down to a high probability of Multiple Sclerosis which is a devastating diagnosis - final test are being completed now. Since her symptoms began, they have forbidden her to drive which has affected many things in her life including her ability to independently get her to appointments and most importantly her employment as a bus driver. Rick was supporting her with her medical test/procedures but now has his own medical issues he is dealing with. After many tests and procedures Rick was diagnosed with Throat Cancer. Rick is currently in London undergoing 7 weeks of aggressive Chemo and radiation treatments and will be off work for a prolonged period of time.

Finally, I ask you to please help me support this great, local family in their time of need. I know Rick and Janice would do the same in a heartbeat! This support is obviously financial in this case but support also mean just reaching out to tell them you are thinking of them and sending them your thoughts. This support is also very helpful during these VERY STRESSFUL times! I appreciate everyone's support.
