Richmond RunFest Marathon for JDRF
On 15th September I will be running my first (and most likely only!) ever marathon, in the hope of raising some money for a very special charity.
JDRF, soon to be known as Breakthrough T1D, have already made such a huge difference to our lives. When Theo was diagnosed with Type 1, in a rather dramatic and terrifying way, the charity supported us at the hospital, providing information and equipment at a time when I was still in shock and denial. They have continued to offer support throughout the last 2 years.
In addition to providing essential support to those living with type 1 and their families, the charity funds vital research into medical and technical advancements to make life easier through the relentless ups and downs of the condition, and to hopefully one day find a cure.
It really is such a deserving cause and if you are able to spare any pennies it would mean so much to me.
