Richmond Rhythm is an AAU Youth Basketball Organization committed to helping kids succeed on and off the court. Richmond Rhythm AAU Organization was founded by Charles Allen Gill Jr. a.k.a “L.G.” In honor of his late father Charles Allen Gill Sr. a.k.a "Big Gill" who was the President/CEO of the Richmond Rhythm Professional Basketball team. Richmond Rhythm was based in Richmond, Virginia from 1999 to 2001. The team played in the International Basketball League. They played their home games at the Siegel Center on the campus of Virginia Commonwealth University as well as the Richmond Coliseum. Former NBA number 1 draft pick and Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame inductee Ralph Sampson initially served as the General Manager of the team before taking over as Head Coach in 1999.
This GoFundMe was created to help with financial support for the Richmond Rhythm 17u/Unsigned Senior team. The money raised from this fundraiser will provide transportation fees, jerseys, hotel costs, gas, food, and other expenses. Richmond Rhythm is truly grateful for any amount of money that is contributed to our organization. We are looking to reach our goal by April 3, 2023.
We are excited for the upcoming AAU season and Thank You for your support in advance!
