Our lives changed in an instant in April of 2025, when a devastating house fire consumed our home and everything we owned in Richmond Hill. Me, and my husband, our 8-year-old, and our 6-year-old, we are navigating the unimaginable aftermath of this tragedy.

The fire left us with nothing but the clothes on our backs. Beyond the material loss, our children are struggling deeply with the trauma of losing their cherished toys, books, and the comfort of their familiar surroundings. Seeing their distress breaks our hearts daily.

While we are incredibly grateful to have survived, the reality is that our insurance coverage has fallen far short of what's needed to cover the extensive costs of rebuilding our home and replacing all our belongings. We're facing an uphill battle to keep up with even basic bills, let alone the long road to recovery.
