Richland Northeast High School Scholarship
Hi, my name is Keys and I’m on the Pacific Crest Trail walking from Canada to Mexico. Currently, I am making my way through Oregon trying to walk through the entire state (minus 80 miles or so from trail closures) from Washington to California in 2 weeks. In doing so, I must average over 28 miles a day to finish in time.
I am doing this two week Oregon challenge as a way to fundraise a scholarship for the students at Richland Northeast High School for college or trade school. This will be a continuation of the Perseverance scholarship which I fundraised while in the Appalachian Trail in 2019. The scholarship allows students to easily apply and share their own stories of perseverance.
My goal is to reach $5,200 before I finish the trail sometime in early November. Should we reach this goal, I will complete a double marathon (over 52 miles in one day) on trail through the desert of Southern California.
If you are considering donating, thank you. It means a lot to me to see my community back in Columbia, SC thrive and I figure this is the best way I can play a role in that.
