Richard's Tornado Recovery Fund

On April 3, 2025, an EF-3 tornado tore through Selmer, Tennessee, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. Among those hardest hit was Richard, our beloved maintenance supervisor at Purdy Place and Rosewood place, who lost everything in a matter of seconds. His home, his belongings, and the stability he worked so hard to build were swept away by winds reaching up to 160 mph.

Richard has been a cornerstone of our communities. For 1.5 years, he’s kept our apartment communities running smoothly, always with a smile and a willingness to go the extra mile. Whether it’s fixing a leaky pipe at midnight or making sure our spaces are safe and comfortable, he’s been there for us without fail. Now, it’s our turn to be there for him.

The tornado took his house, his car, his family heirlooms, everything, leaving him with nothing but the clothes on his back. Insurance will take time and likely won’t cover everything he’s lost. That’s where we come in.

We’re raising $5,000+ to help Richard get back on his feet. The funds will go toward:

Temporary housing: A safe place to stay while he rebuilds.

Basic necessities: Clothes, food, and personal items to replace what was lost.

Rebuilding costs: Materials, furniture, and anything insurance doesn’t cover to help him reclaim his life.
