Richard’s home burned down in the White Rock fire

Hi, name is Angela, and I am starting this Gofundme for our friend Richard.

Richard is a 68 year old retired man, who lived an off grid lifestyle on a piece of land in the Okanagan, just off West Side Rd in B.C.

BC has been devastated by wildfires this summer, one of the biggest and most aggressive fires burning is called the White Rock Lake fire, which is currently burning at 55,000 hectares and has already devastated local communities.

Unfortunately, Richard’s home (which was a travel trailer) was burned down in the process, along with many other things such as clothes, tables, chairs, blankets, pillows, tools, generators and other necessities of daily living.

Richard and his dog Alfie have been evacuated for 10 days so far, and have lost everything- they are not sure when they can return.

Any donation would be so greatly appreciated to help get this very kind man back on his feet.

We are trying to fundraise this amount of money for him, so that he can acquire a used travel trailer- a place to call home again- and replace all of the items that he lost- or the alternative option of someone graciously donating a used travel trailer for him, would be amazing.
