Hi everyone, I never thought I would be writing something like this. Life changed in ways I could never have imagined when I was told I needed a heart transplant to survive. Thanks to an incredible medical team and the selfless gift of an organ donor and their family, I am here today with a second chance at life. There are no words to fully express the gratitude and humility I feel. But the road after transplant is long, difficult, and overwhelming at times. Recovery isn’t just physical — it’s emotional and financial too. I now rely on lifelong medications to prevent rejection, along with constant medical monitoring and follow-up care. These medications are not optional, and their cost is staggering. On top of medical bills, I’ve been unable to work during recovery, making it hard to keep up with everyday expenses like housing, utilities, and basic necessities. Asking for help is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, but I can’t get through this alone. This fundraiser is meant to help relieve some of the financial burden so I can focus on healing, staying healthy, and honoring the incredible gift I’ve been given.
