The Foundation in India is an NGO founded in 1999 by Nirvana Bodhisattva and is still directed by him. They are a grass/roots social work organisation dedicated to improving the lives of the population of small villages surrounding the city of Alwar in Rajasthan. Some of these villages are the homes of the Nat and Kanjer communities, who earn their living through prostitution and begging.  Educating the children of these villages gives them more of a choice in their lives.
  From 2006 to 2013 I stayed with the Foundation for six months each year. I saw for myself  how our money was being used and the benefits it was bringing. After establishing contact with my music teachers in 2013 I moved to Bhopal but still made regular visits to Alwar. During the  last two years  however the pandemic has prevented any travelling around. I am looking  forward to returning there when the situation allows.
