Richard Hunsinger is an Atlanta-based activist, organizer, and musician who is serving a sentence of 32 months incarceration at FCI Forrest City for his actions during the George Floyd Uprising in 2020.
He has no source of income while incarcerated other than gifts from supporters and loved ones. These gifts cover his commissary and communications expenses. It's hard to get enough to eat and impossible to get basic toiletries without shopping at the commissary store. Postage, phone calls, and the email kiosk--which provide an indispensible connection to his friends and family--also add up to a substantial burden. With your gift, he can afford all these things and still have some money to spend on music downloads for his mp3 player, one of few available sources of entertainment aside from reading, writing, and exercising (which together occupy most of his time). If any funds are left over when he gets out in 2025, they will help him get back on his feet.
