Hello all, and thank you for taking the time to read my story.
Images…
Images say more than words ever could. My passion, my drive, my muse is in search of these images.
John Herschel once said, "Photography is a means to preserve the past, by capturing light and memories." I wholeheartedly agree. My passion is in the pursuit of "capturing" the reality and reverence of those miraculous moments through images. Not only in preserving the past forever, but also to be able to enjoy and admire the images in the present and future. Images can take you emotionally to who you are, where you were, maybe where you’d like to be again. I want to share that.

My wife and I have been married 17 years. We have also worked together professionally side by side every day. In our career field of ranch/farm management, we are very good at what we do - some of the better ones out there I'm proud to say. However, the opportunities are few and far between, especially with two young children. Typically when you secure a position, the hope is that it's a long term one. Many months ago, after 7 years of dedicated hard work, and completely by surprise, we learned our positions were going to be eliminated - many years before we ever imagined. This presented numerous challenges. Mentally, physically, financially. Not only did we have to find another job, but we had to uproot our family to do so. With that, sacrifices needed to be made - selling almost everything we owned, including all of my photography equipment.
I was very fortunate to have opportunities to pursue a second career in photography. This was supplementing my primary occupation to help support our children and their education. My family and I are very slowly recovering from the overwhelming life change. Now that the dust has settled a bit, I have been presented with numerous opportunities to continue the photography, but my resources are limited or already tied up in recovering from the financial loss.
Let me help define my photography and my interests within it. I am in ongoing pursuit of moments that are real. I enjoy things wild - the places, animals and the landscape.

Other interests include the world that surrounds equine - I owe a lot of what I do and who I am to these amazing animals.

I supplement these interests with offering lifestyle and adventure images of genuine people living life.

The initial venture into photography was not something that was inspired on a whim or just happened overnight. It was years in the making. I met with many professionals, agencies and publications. I’ve been advised and always encouraged to go further and produce more.

That affirmation was the first step in the process of creating the dream. It was working. I was hired by numerous venues and events for equine photography, several families and individuals for portraits - both personal and pets, won an international photo contest with the picture of my daughter below in "Mountain Outlaw" magazine, was hired for a "Yeti" lifestyle project including Edwardo Garcia from the movie "Charged," and National Geographic Adventure for a project on wild horses, later published in Western Horseman magazine to name a few. I've donated countless images for fundraising projects - for children, schools, veterans, police officers and many other public fundraiser projects and causes. Until the unforeseen bump in the road.

This Go Fund Me request may not be typical, but the project is simple. I am interested in soliciting investors in my passion, muse and supplemental career by supporting my effort to secure the equipment I need to rekindle where I left off. I am not asking for funds without reciprocating to those who choose to invest in this though. If you choose to I will offer a return on your donation! To those who donate to my campaign, I will offer a choice of a photograph or photographs whose retail sale price is equal to the dollar amount funded. To the largest investors I will also offer sessions for lifestyle images, family portraits, personal portraits and/or even your pets. Additionally, anything over and above my goal amount I will reinvest towards offering instruction and workshops whether it be a group or one on one. I am now fortunate enough to have access to 2 individual studio spaces.
I feel this inspires us all to make this revival a success. It is more importantly a meaningful way for me to say, "thank you".

This adventure is a heartfelt passion of mine. Not only because of the joy of creating art and images, but more importantly, I see the value in the images and what they do for the people who own them. It is hard to define the satisfaction and meaning of giving someone something that brings joy, sparks inspiration or preserves a lasting memory. Thank you again.
